Jill Devitt, LICSW
Providing Individual Therapy for Ages 13+, Family Therapy, Parenting Support, & Clinical Supervision.
My Approach
My approach prioritizes a grounded, dependable connection and a collaborative space where clients can feel understood and supported.
I believe people are best recognized within the context of their relationships, environments, and life experiences.
I know how difficult it is to seek support—my work focuses on making clients feel heard, seen, and understood while working through challenges. I focus on building connection through humor and practical skills utilizing evidence-based behavioral approaches.

About Jill
-
Master of Social Work (MSW), Boston University, 1994
My professional background includes work with children, adolescents, and families in community-based settings, residential treatment programs, and private practice. Since 2006, I have maintained a private practice with a particular focus on eating disorders and family-based treatment.
Additional training includes Family-Based Treatment (FBT) for eating disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic approaches.

My work is informed by relational, developmental, cognitive-behavioral, and family systems perspectives. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches and tailor treatment to the needs, strengths, and goals of each individual or family.
-
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, tennis, reading, cooking, and spending time with animals (with the exception of raccoons). I am a mother of four children, who are now young adults, and a Bernese mountain dog.
